The main CONS of the Vivo T4 5G, a big Camera Bump, Mono Speaker Setup, 60 FPS cap in BGMI, and an Average Selfie Camera, feel pretty minor when you look at the PROS — Sleek and lightweight build, vibrant and colour-accurate display, smooth performance, and that absolute beast of a battery. In our experience, the Vivo T4 5G turned out to be a solid smartphone. I felt the same while using it, just the pricing had been a bit under ₹20,000, it would seal the deal.
Vivo has launched the successor to the popular Vivo T3, the Vivo T4. It launched in India with a starting price of ₹21,999, which is ₹2,000 pricier than its predecessor’s launch price. The Vivo T4 5G is packed with cool hardware, but the most interesting thing about it is not its massive 7300mAh battery, but the design that packs that big battery but still manages to be sleek and lightweight.
If you’re reading this, chances are you’re hunting for a smartphone around Rs 20,000. Well, the Vivo T4 5G might just be one of the best value-for-money smartphones of 2025. But, and it’s a big BUT, it comes with its own share of pros and cons that are easy to miss. Read on to find out if it’s the right pick for you.
Vivo T4 Review: Design
What I liked about the design of this smartphone is that it packs a 7,300mAh battery, a massive battery that we haven’t seen in a budget phone so far, but still manages to weigh 199 grams and measure 7.89mm in thickness. However, this became possible due to the integration of a carbon anode battery, which helps devices to be slim and lightweight by offering higher energy density in a more compact and lighter form. So, as far as the in-hand feel is concerned, I liked the design. It also has curved edges for a better grip and looks decent as well.
However, the grip reminds me of that huge camera bump on the back. It’s a decent performance-centric budget smartphone, and chances are that many youngsters purchase this smartphone for gaming. That’s where the camera bump can feel a bit uncomfortable when holding the smartphone horizontally for gaming.
But it checks the durability box, as it features an IP65 rating against dust and water, a plastic back (which looks glossy), and Schott Alpha Glass on the front.
Vivo T4 Review: Display
The Vivo T4 is equipped with a FHD+ 6.77-inch AMOLED display that supports 10-bit colour and a 120Hz refresh rate. The visuals this display produces are bright, sharp, and colour-accurate: all the things you’d expect from a good AMOLED panel. Moreover, it also supports HDR, so watching content on OTT platforms such as Netflix and Prime Video is a pleasant experience. One thing that could have made this whole experience even better is the stereo speaker setup. Yes, the Vivo T4 features the outdated mono-speaker setup.

Apart from being visually appealing for this price, the display of the Vivo T4 is bright enough as well. During my outdoor usage, it didn’t feel dull under direct sunlight.
In our display tests, the display hit 2250 nits of peak brightness in auto mode. Plus, an average Delta E of 0.9 in the sRGB colour space means that the display is excellent for media consumption.
Vivo T4 Review: Performance
The Vivo T4 5G is powered by the Snapdragon 7s Gen 3 processor, which is paired with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage. This phone properly utlizes the power of its processor, and we got to know this by testing its power and the stability of that power.
In our AnTuTu benchmark test, the Vivo T4 scored close to 8,00,000 points — 795640 to be precise. According to its price, this number is decent. Last year, with the MediaTek Dimensity 7200, the Vivo T3 scored 7,16,106, so it’s safe to call this an upgrade. Furthermore, in the Geekbench 6 test as well, the scores are nice.
After these benchmarks, I ran a 15-minute stress test called the CPU throttling test, which tells us how stable the performance is of a device. In this test, the Vivo T4 scored 93% out of 100%, and as you can see from this graph, it’s almost entirely green. This means it’ll maintain its performance and give you good results if you use it aggressively for 15 minutes constantly.
The Vivo T4 5G performed well when it comes to numbers, which also means a decent daily-usage performance. However, while playing BGMI, I noticed that this smartphone supports only 60 FPS gameplay.
Now, its close competitors, such as Realme P3 Pro and Nothing Phone 3a, come with 90 FPS support in BGMI, which certainly improves the gameplay as well. So, this could be another bummer for our gamer friends.
Vivo T4 Review: Camera
The Vivo T4 carries a dual camera setup with a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. On the front, it has a 32-megapixel selfie shooter as well.

After using the camera for a while, I feel that it delivers decent pictures for the price that you are paying. The colours are vibrant and saturated, something which most people like. Light management is also decent. Even in low light, you get bright and vibrant shots. However, the macro and close-up shots leave space for improvement as the camera struggled with the focus.
With the portraits, the pictures turn out decent. They are bright, but there is visible smoothening and brightening on the face. Edge detection and the bokeh could have been better.
Even with the selfies, the images turn out bright, but there is smoothening. However, in good lighting conditions, you can get good selfies.
Vivo T4 Review: Battery
The best thing about the Vivo T4. Over these days, I have been calling this phone smartphone-cum-power bank. I’ll come to this part later because firstly, let me tell you that during our PC Mark battery life test, this smartphone lasted over 24 hours while only draining to around 20%, which means I could last even more. On moderate use, the Vivo T4 can last between two to three days very easily on a single charge.
We also tested the massive 7,300mAh battery with a 15-minute BGMI match, 30 minutes of video streaming, and 60 minutes of Google Maps usage. Here’s the consumption:
- BGMI (15 minutes) – 2% drop
- Video Streaming (30 minutes) – 4% drop
- Google Maps (60 minutes) – 4% drop
Coming to the charging now, you get 90-watt fast charging support on this smartphone. From 0-100%, you can charge this smartphone in less than 60 minutes. Now, why I call it a smartphone-cum-power-bank is because it also supports reverse wired charging, because why not, when you have this big battery on your phone?
What do we think about the Vivo T4 5G?
So, let’s recall all the major cons here once more: the Camera Bump, Mono Speaker Setup, 60 FPS in BGMI, and Average Selfie Camera. If you ask me, all these cons are negligible in front of the Pros you are getting with this phone, including a sleek and lightweight design, vibrant and accurate display, solid performance, and a massive battery.
In our testing, the Vivo T4 5G proved that it’s a good smartphone, and I also felt the same while using this smartphone; only if the price could have been under Rs 20,000, it would be even better.
